Brief History

This club was formed in the early 1982 and is now 36 years old.

This club was formed as one of the extra-curricular activities in the school, as a means for students to reduce their stress in studies and at the same time learning more about art and handicraft. At first, it was known as the Handicraft Association, but was later changed to the Knitting Club and is now known as the Handicraft Club.

At the beginning, this club was guided by Miss Chew BS, who had since long retired. Our last club advisors were Cikgu Evelyn Jose and Cikgu Mathilda Simon Ling, but Cikgu Mathilda had to change club.

Currently, our club has 64 members, and is guided by Cikgu Evelyn Jose and Teacher Jess Tan.

For this year, our chairperson and vice chairperson are Vienn Lau (S2 Ping) and Sammi Ho (S2 Ai).

Club meetings are held on Friday from 2.10pm to 3.30pm in classrooms S2 Ren and S1 Yi, whereby which the club members learn about and finish their projects.
